Romans 12:1–2; Deuteronomy 6:10–15

The Christian life is unique and distinctive. It is, however, totally unlike the lifestyle of the majority who live on planet earth. We have been compared to tiny islands of truth surrounded by an enormous sea of paganism. But we still must live and operate in a world in conflict with spiritual things. God has chosen not to take us out of the world, but neither does He want us to live as though we are of it (John 17:15-16). This creates a dilemma that this message faces: standing alone.
