Have you ever realized how easy it is to focus on pains of the past? Often, celebrating the joys requires much more intention than lamenting the failures. But all aches provide a lesson.

After the Jews endured a nail-biting year heading toward a holocaust, they overcame their trials and established a memorial to recognize how God had delivered them.

Chuck Swindoll encourages us to build monuments from our own trials so that we may learn lessons from them and express our gratitude to God for getting us through them.
